Fall Family Fun Activities to Enjoy the Season

Reading Time: 2 min

Fall is finally here! The leaves are changing color, the air is getting cooler, and pumpkin spice everything is back. This time of year is the perfect opportunity to spend quality time with your little one and create fun memories.

Here are five of our favorite activities:

  • Go on a leaf scavenger hunt.
Grab a plastic bag and see how many different colors of leaves you can find around your neighborhood or local park. You can even keep track of the different types of trees you find the leaves on. Bonus points if you can identify the leaves when you get home!

  • Make homemade pumpkin soup - this is one of my son's favorites!
This delicious soup is the perfect way to warm up on a cool autumn day. Plus, your little one can help with the cooking! We'll post a recipe in November!

  • Visit a nearby farm.
Fall is the perfect time to visit a farm and go apple or pumpkin picking. Many farms also have hayrides, corn mazes, and other fun activities for kids (and adults!) of all ages. Check out what's available near you and plan a day trip accordingly.

  • Have a picnic lunch in the park.
Even though the weather is cooling down, that doesn't mean you can't enjoy a picnic lunch outside! So pack up your favorite fall snacks and head to your nearest park for a special lunch with your kiddo.

  • Get crafty with fall-themed arts & crafts projects. From painting leaves to making homemade Thanksgiving cards, there are endless crafting possibilities this time of year. Let your little one's creativity run wild, and see what amazing creations they come up with!
